The Lume Coolangatta in Queensland

"Wow, what a gem in Coolangatta this place is. I rank the food right up there alongside Chin Chin in Melbourne and Mr Wong in Sydney. We had an assortment of yum cha and an absolutely fantastic sizzling garlic prawns and amazing special fried rice. Each dish tasted SO good. Can't wait to go back :) The staff are super friendly and lovely to interact with. The atmosphere is really nice. The decor is beautiful. I highly recommend this restaurant and rank it as a 10/10."

"Love this place, it's a gem right on the coast. Dined in with family here and it really is beautiful inside, the decorations are spectacular, it's definitely worth a visit. They have a very wide selection to choose from, everything we had tasted wonderful. They also do takeaway here so the following night I ordered the wonton soup as takeaway as I was feeling a bit run down and I swear it's like magic, it fixes you right up and tastes delicious. Lovely service too, the staff are very accommodating."

"Looking for some tasty Asian Fusion or Yum Cha? We walked past this charming restaurant in Coolangatta’s Main Street and popped in. We had a quick Yum Cha and loved it. There is an extensive menu as well of Asian dishes. Food was fresh and well presented. Excellent sticky rice. Bathrooms are located in the Calypso Hotel for mobility challenged. Parking on the street."

"I was reluctant to go here as the place was large and empty. Great surprise, food was fresh and high quality, the best Chinese food in area by far. Service was also good, fast and attentive. Will be a regular through 2026."

"First of all, all the staff here are amazing and have top notch service. They ares so nice too! The food quality is amazing but I will get back to that. The atmosphere is spectacular, cherry blossoms filling the room with soft LED lights to set a mood. The food here is amazing, especially the honey chicken. It is my fav meal and I have tried many in my life but this is THE BEST one I’ve ever tried, perfect crispness honey and chicken, also the fried rice is phenomenal. Definitely recommend and will come back every day. COME HERE OR ELSE…"
